Since 2008, curious directive theatre company has explored life through the lens of science. The ensemble has played to over 100,000 audience members in 112 theatres across the UK and internationally, winning multiple awards. Six of our plays have published 6 times by Bloomsbury. Hannah Wooller is an accredited conservation architect, MD and Head of Heritage & Culture at Hudson Architects, an award-winning architect’s studio in Norwich. Hannah is delivering the HLF funded redevelopment of Grade 1 Listed Aldeburgh Museum and advising local Norfolk Councils on the potential for developing their underused buildings as creative workspaces. Neil Stainsby’s career in broadcast television now spans over 30 years – from the iconic BBC sports show’s Grandstand and Match of the Day, to ITV’s Meridian Broadcasting, the BBC News Channel and BBC World.
He was launch director for Meridian Tonight South East and is a former Lead Director at BBC News. Neil worked most recently as Creative Lead at Celebro Studio and was Global Executive Director at Arise News. He looked after the studio operations of the channel launch and programme launches in London, New York & Johannesburg.
Now living in Norfolk, Neil is developing a number of new business ideas using his vast experience in Broadcast TV.
Matt Cater is the owner and founder of FATHOM, a design and manufacturing business specialising in Retail and Contract Furniture. Deniz has developed a method which is modern, efficient and holistic which he now delivers into the workplace and to the NHS, Parkinson’s UK and Assist-Trust.

Dan Harris is a social entrepreneur who is never happier than when he’s applying his creativity to a community of interest co-operative business. A keen baker and bicyclist Dan, won the Co-operatives UK award for Innovation in Co-operative Excellence in 2011 for his work in setting up Cycle Oxford, a bike co-operative with over 450 members. This year he successfully crowdfunded to set up a new co-operative to inspire acts of bee saviour citizenship. Setting out to raise £8k, this crowdfunding campaign raised over £20k and received support from over 1500 people; inspiring Bee Saviour Citizens in 14 countries.

Kaavous Clayton has instigated several creative activities in the eastern region, including: co-founding OUTPOST artist run gallery in 200; setting up Kaavous-Bhoyroo arts commissioning agency in 2008; curating and project managing Easter Pavilions in 2013 (a series of exhibitions, performances and talks and a print portfolio,); and created The Waiting Room in Colchester with Marc De’ath –an unused bus station waiting room transformed into a space for creative creation.

Henry Layte was born and raised in Norfolk. After graduating from university and spending 10 years in London working in the theatre as an actor and writer, he returned to Norfolk and opened The Book Hive in 2009. Since then the shop has won a number of local and national awards. and garner attention in the literary world both here and abroad. In 2011 Henry co-founded the publisher Galley Beggar Press, where he discovered and published, among others, Eimear McBride’s A Girl is a Half-formed Thing, which won every major prize it was entered in and became an international best seller. Parting company with them in 2014 he set up Propolis, an imprint of the shop, which continues to publish both fiction and non-fiction to great critical acclaim.
Robert Ashton is a social entrepreneur, author and campaigner. Redundancy in 1990 introduced him to self-employment. Since then he’s worked independently, sometimes with a team but more usually on his own.
In 2013 launched Swarm Apprenticeships CIC; a values led apprenticeship and recruitment company. More recently he co-founded Norwich Mustard, a community benefit society, formed in response to the closure of Colman’s Mustard factory in Norwich.
A Quaker, Robert is driven by a strong sense of social justice. This autumn sees him going to university for the first time, to study for an MA in Biography and Creative Non-Fiction.
